This year Jeep has becoming an exclusive sponsor of the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. This partnership will span over three years and will involve the Jeep brand as the exclusive vehicle and automotive partner of RCR (Resorts of the Canadian Rockies).Some of the resorts that will be included in the partnership are Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, Nakisa Resort, Wintergreen Golf Resort and Trickle Creek Golf Resort.
An on-site presence involving: vehicle displays and select test drives of the Jeep brand with vehicles like that of Compass, Grand Cherokee, Patriot and Wrangler will be set up during this partnership. Bob Devlin, Senior Manager – Western Business Centre, Chrysler Canada stated in an interview; “Regardless of the terrain, Jeep products are perfectly suited for any kind of off- or on-road adventure, and what better place than the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies to showcase them in their natural element.” With so many Albertans heading to the Rockies for their getaways this partnership will do wonders for the Jeep brand. With Jeep teaming up with Rockie Mountain ski resorts it will allow patrons to go anywhere and do anything due to Jeeps reputation of being able to handle many different terrains.
Jeep has also taken on the RCR ‘Jeep Junior Freeski Tour’ as their sponsor. This event brings the best in Junior skiing and snowboarding, under the age of 18, together for competition in thrill-seeking and gravity-defying freeski. This event will take place on February 9-10 at Kimberly Alpine Resort, February 21-24 at Fernie Alpine Resort and March 2-3 at Kicking Horse Alpine Resort. These stops are the only Canadian stops on the International Feeskiers and Snowboarders Association (IFSA).
Jeep will also be showing off their brand by appearing on the cabs of the Golden Eagles Express Gondola at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, in the form of a Jeep decal wrap. On site throughout the winter, the official Jeep ambassador team will be available to answer product questions and giving away free merchandise.
