Get the tailgate party started. This MusicGate Power™
Boston Acoustics® Sound System boasts nine speakers, including subwoofer
and swing down liftgate speakers, and is available on all models. It’s
a thumping state-of-the-art system, with 458-watts of wake-the-neighbours
booming sonic bliss. Open the liftgate and the rear speakers can swing
down to direct your musical selections right where you want them.

UConnect™
Look, no hands. The available UConnect™ Hands-Free
Communication System uses Bluetooth™ technology to transfer calls
between your Bluetooth-enabled cellular phone and Caliber’s
onboard receiver. Using advanced voice recognition technology, UConnect
allows you to make and receive calls completely hands-free. A dual element
microphone in the rear-view mirror picks up the vehicle occupant’s
voice, while incoming calls are broadcast through Caliber’s
radio speakers. Two buttons on the rear-view mirror control the system.
During use, UConnect commands are shown in the radio display. |

Radios
Radio killed the video star. Caliber’s
radio options will be music to your ears. Standard on all models is an
AM/FM stereo radio with CD, changer controls and auxiliary input jack.
An AM/FM 6-disc CD changer with MP3 play capability or AM/FM cassette,
6-disc CD changer with MP3 play capability are optional. |
MP3 Compatible
Move to your own groove. Caliber’s standard radio features an input jack on the faceplate that lets you plug in your personal music player (you can even plug in a PDA). Or play MP3-formatted discs with the available upgraded 6-CD sound systems. |

rear seats recline up to 12 degrees for extra comfort and headroom, while
the driver’s seat height adjuster raises/lowers the seat more than
50 mm (2 in.). Caliber comes standard with 60/40-split
flat-folding rear seats. For ultimate versatility, Caliber’s
available Flexible Seating Group provides a front passenger fold-flat seatback.
On Caliber SXT and R/T, the Available
Leather Interior Group offers leather-trimmed seating and heated front seats.

Top of the world. Built in a dedicated GEMA (Global Engine Manufacturing
Alliance) plant in Dundee, Michigan, Caliber is the first
Chrysler Group vehicle to employ these all new World Engines. Boasting solid
durability, this new powerplant is available in 1.8-litre, 2.0-litre and
2.4-litre displacements. These four-cylinder, DOHC masterpieces feature
four valves per cylinder and dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT), advanced
technology that enables them to deliver the rarest combination of performance,
economy and thoroughly tested reliability. These engines also give their
drivers a level of horsepower they might expect from a much larger engine.

| Timing is everything. Each of Caliber’s
three all new World Engines feature dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT). By
controlling the valves on both camshafts, the engine’s timing is continuously
tuned to deliver maximum power or optimal fuel economy depending upon the

Anti-Lock Brakes
Braking News. State-of-the-art electronics allow Caliber’s available Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) to provide faster response times than previous systems. ABS, which is standard on all models equipped with CVT2, helps prevent wheel lock, increasing the driver’s ability to maintain directional control when braking on slippery surfaces.

Structural Safety Cage
It’s like a fortress. Body components in Caliber combine to form a structural safety cage for outstanding occupant protection in the event of an impact. The cage helps to shield occupants by managing and controlling energy in the event of an impact. Extensive use of advanced materials with higher weight-to-strength ratios enabled the safety cage to meet more aggressive front, side and rear impact requirements. | ||||||||||||||
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Deal with the pressure. An available Tire Pressure Monitoring System alerts drivers when tires are improperly inflated. A message in the instrument cluster, “Tire Pressure Low” warns when a tire is less than 25 percent of the recommended pressure.
