The infrared rain sensor, located on the inside of the windshield just below the rear-view mirror, automatically senses moisture on the windshield and activates the wipers. Chrysler 300C has a standard 5.7-litre HEMI® V8 Multi-Displacement engine that puts forth an impressive 340-horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.
A responsive five-speed automatic with Auto/Stick™

The HEMI® V8 uses a Multi-Displacement System (MDS) that allows the engine to operate on four cylinders when power demands are minimal and can provide 5% to 20% better fuel efficiency, depending on driving conditions.

The Chrysler 300C Multi-Displacement System allows the 5.7-litre HEMI® engine to combine the power and performance of a V8, with the fuel efficiency of a V6 engine.

This ingenious system selectively and seamlessly deactivates half of the engine cylinders while cruising, and operates all eight cylinders while idling, under acceleration and under heavy load conditions.

The result is full power when you need it and increased fuel economy when power demands are reduced.

Chrysler 300 offers an athletic and responsive driving experience, thanks to its world-class suspension design. The suspension features:

Electronic Stability Program

The Chrysler 300 Electronic Stability Program* (ESP™) is a computer-controlled system that is automatically activated to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle under almost any conditions.

The computer uses inputs from a steering wheel angle sensor, yaw-rate sensor and a lateral acceleration sensor and compares the input to the driver’s intended course. Corrections are then made using a combination of the vehicle's anti-lock brake system, traction control and throttle control to help prevent oversteer and understeer conditions.

The ESP system for 300C SRT8 is specially calibrated to suit the vehicle's performance characteristics.

Because luxury, performance and styling are only part of the story, safety also comes standard on every Chrysler 300.

All Chrysler 300 models feature four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock (ABS). Also available are self-sealing tires that contain a special sealant that helps reduce your chance of getting a flat by filling a puncture up to 5 mm in diameter and minimizing loss of air pressure allowing you a greater chance of safely getting your vehicle serviced (not available on SRT8).
