Braking that pulls out all the stops. Brake Assist (included with ESP™*) helps ensure optimal brake efficiency during panic braking situations.

Brake Assist works in conjunction with the ESP system to instantly apply the maximum available pressure to the brakes. A pressure sensor in the ESP hydraulic module determines when the driver is making an emergency stop by measuring the brake pedal pressure application rate. A high rate of pedal pressure application causes the ESP system to apply maximum hydraulic pressure to the brakes, stopping the vehicle as quickly as the available traction will allow.

Catch some rays. A vent, tilt and slide power sunroof with express (one-touch) opening and closing is available. The panel tilts upward at the rear for ventilation or slides rearward under the roof. The panel seals flush with the roof in the closed position to eliminate wind noise. A manual sliding sunshade covers the deep tinted glass panel.

Powertrain and Transmission

WorldPower. The all new 173 horsepower 2.4-litre DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder World Engine, with its dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT), balance shafts and standard 4-speed automatic transmission, is a spirited, but composed, modern marvel of efficiency.

Flex appeal. The 2.7L DOHC 24-Valve V6 Flex Fuel Engine on Sebring Touring combines ample horsepower with fuel efficiency for confident and economical performance. This engine has the ability to operate effectively on any blend of gasoline and fuel-grade E-85 ethanol. E-85 fuel is a blend containing 85 percent fuel-grade ethanol and 15 percent gasoline.

Seating

Please take a seat. Spacious, versatile and comfortable - you get all three with Sebring.

A roomy interior provides generous seating for the driver and four passengers. Convenient 60/40 split-folding rear seats give you extra cargo capability*. For even more flexibility, an available Fold-Flat Front Seat creates a table-like surface for additional cargo space. Sit back and enjoy the ride in supportive front bucket seats with moderate bolsters on the seat cushion and seat back. The seats are also taller with rounded two-way head restraints.

A cohesive design theme stylishly runs through the interior of Sebring, with extensive Alloy Silver and Bright Chrome Accents on Sedan models. Touring and Limited models add the luxurious look of satin silver accents and feel of a leather-wrapped steering wheel. On Sebring Limited, Tortoise Shell Accents on the steering wheel, door trim and instrument panel weave in an exotic flair.

Put it away. Storage and convenience features throughout the passenger compartment optimize the use of space for a high-level of functionality

Air Bags

We’ve got your back. And front and sides. Advanced Multistage Front Air Bags* provide nearly instantaneous occupant protection by matching air bag output to crash severity. Side-Curtain Air Bags* deploy from the headliner to provide two rows of side impact protection to outboard occupants. Front Seat Mounted Side Air Bags* deploy for enhanced thorax protection during a side impact.

In our efforts to leave nothing to chance, Sebring also helps protect occupants with:

Always on guard. Sebring offers many features that help keep you and your vehicle secure, including:
Standard Sentry Key™ Engine Immobilizer System that deters vehicle theft by requiring a properly encoded key to start the engine
Standard Remote Keyless Entry locks and unlocks doors and turns on interior lamps. It also arms and disarms the Vehicle Theft Security Alarm (if equipped)
Vehicle Theft Security Alarm, standard on Sebring Limited, protects the vehicle from theft by monitoring both the door and rear decklid-ajar switches and the ignition circuit for unauthorized entry

Keeping an eye on inflation. A Tire Pressure Monitoring System is standard on all Sebring models. An enhanced display feature with specific callouts for each wheel is available with the Electronic Vehicle Information Centre (EVIC).
How it works:
Tire pressure monitoring helps maintain proper tire pressure. With the standard base system, low tire pressure on any tire illuminates a warning indicator in the instrument cluster. The premium system includes the lamp from the base system, and on vehicles equipped with EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Centre), a display showing actual pressures at each tire. The tire pressure display screen can be selected at any time. A warning message and chime immediately announces a low-pressure condition in any tire.

Sometimes you just can’t control yourself. No problem. Available Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)* and Traction Control help you maintain directional stability by applying selective braking and throttle control. ESP helps control oversteer and understeer and maintain traction during acceleration on slippery surfaces.

Thinking outside the box and inside the cage. Sebring’s unitized upper body forms a Structural Safety Cage designed to provide excellent occupant protection during collisions. The Structural Safety Cage helps protect occupants by managing and controlling energy from an impact.
